Last week thrifting finds

This is a compilation of items I picked last week from different charity shops. 



One thing I always looking out and picking from charity shops is colored tights. Why pay about 8 EUR in department store when you get them from charity for 2EUR. For me they are perfect to make any outfit more interesting.

Look at that color and pattern. Its fabulous.








Wonderful oversized pottery mug or bowl. It is not signed and it is heavy to lift. I think it is someone's handmade project. That is what I like about it. I served a salad from it and it brought instant artsiness to the table. Bonus is its lime green inside and dark green outside glaze.







Then I found these Casa Decor drawer knobs. Very good quality. Currently I have bed side tables with boring wooden knobs. I  think I need to do a makeover, to paint my side tables with new exciting color and use these knobs. I think knobs require darker color to make them pop.

Beautiful items. There was this beautiful painted cabinet under their furniture stock...oooh, so lovely!




As usual I am always looking out for coffee table books.
This time I found " The Guest List". UK's most stylish hotels and fabulous restaurants. It covers all areas I am interested in. I used to work for 4 years in 4* hotel and 8 years in 5* hotel. The salary was crap for the front desk administrator but me loving beautiful surroundings...I just loved to work at Tallinn Old Town 14 century building 5* Hotel. I could visit some in my next UK trip. Although...specially restaurants are not often very long lived it is tough to keep hospitality business on float and profitable for very long term. That's why the owners are changing often.

Kelly and Grace top

Love the pale yellow and the pop of blue and red on this blouse print. Fabric feels silky to touch and the lacy rim accents gives very romantic and feminine vibe.

Bonus is it does not wrinkle...so perfect for take to travels.












I think this original oil painting it is my favorite from this week haul. Look how charming! I cant see signature front or back but the frame in the back is sealed so that makes me think it is vintage. The frame fits it perfectly and the flowers are divine in a porcelain shoe vase. Looove 💖



Today is Saturday and I am off to spend weekend in Co.Wateford. Of course I pop in to some charity shops. Exciting!

Epic charity shop pottery haul

 I have a "honeyhole" charity shop. All these ceramics is from one go. Why I titled this post "epic"? Majorly because of the lamp but all items are fab! The lamp I was drawn to it as if it was a big magnet there on the table. It's abstract artsy look is amazing, it's colors and it is tall and big and a statement peace and with very good price. Yes please, thank you! I had a quick look in the shop, it is inscribed and additional sticker remain.  McCluskey Pottery. Artist Sean McCluskey, Limavady in Northern Ireland. Have to tell you I had not heard about him before. Sadly when looking him up, he seem to have passed 13.02.2011. But his works live on their lives. Can use your imagination what travels this lamp has seen since its birth. Looking around internet there is not a lot of his work around and I would say from the things I've seen so far...this is the Crown Jewel of his work. Anna Glodek

I was excied and happy to find this painting and even afford it. Here is what seller wrote about her: Here is a beautiful, eye-catching painting by Maryland artist Anna Glodek.  It is framed and although the sticker says 8" by 10", it is NOT it is actually bigger at 13" by 10" and the painting itself is larger than 8x10.  I believe this was painted in the early 2000's when she was showing in local galleries around Maryland.   These photos really do not do justice to the art. It has a wonderful, heavy texture.  The painting itself is in excellent condition with no damage. The The simple metal frame has a couple small scratches.   This is a real gem of a painting. Thrifting highlight: Judy Greene's pottery

  So, I have been thrifting this weekend and here is the haul. Judy Greene pottery. Its from her Connemara range. Here is her website: https://judygreene.wixsite.com/galway Now, on closer inspection I am not actually sure that the plate is Judy's although the glazes and colors are so similar. The incised mark on the plate is different than on the mug. But they go well together and I like their rustic look a lot. So, plate still remains a bit of the mystery. Bracelet and necklace Lady in the charity shop said it is graphite bead set. I never heard of graphite before...but it has dark grey and metallic look to it.  Wikipedia says:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphite Sure looks like it. Also...what I know about natural stone jewelry is that natural stone feels cold to touch and this one surely feels cold. This jewelry set gives me modernist, futurist vibes.
