 Last weekend I was at Co.Cork when advert popped up on Facebook about Exhibition at Castlemartyr Resort. The artist represented there is a world class: Warhol, Banksy, Harring, Dali. Whole exhibition worth millions.  Salvador Dali "Dance of Time" was on sale 1.125000 EUR. It was exhibited in separate smaller room where 2 man were watchin the treasure. Below photos of some wonderful exhibits. I spent 3h there.   I present to you: "Girl" 2024. Black ceramic and glazed by Lina Macijauskiene from Klaipeda, Lithuania. As soon as I saw it in Etsy, I loved it. I was keeping my eye on it and recently just could not help myself and bought it. The photo does not do it justice. It looks amazing in my living room in different daylight or even lamplight. Looking at it gives me great pleasure indeed. When I was a little girl...I loved chewing gum - once I tried to chew whole pack of chewing gum 😂 It was tough job...maybe my jaws hurt after. I am sure that I could not chew that for very long...  Here what she wrote about her "Girl":  This Girl is made of black clay. I used engobes to heal the pain, they were burned to 1050°C The girl has a glass bubble, which is firmly glued with epoxy glue Sculpture Height aprox 27 cm, width -8cm depth-7cm All creations are handmade by me, sculpted from ceramic or porcelaine clay, glazed and fired to 1050°C. I wondered what the engobe means...here wh...

  I am happy to own Marina Hamilton ceramics. I first came across her work at Gifted fair 2023 in Dublin. At the fair she had her bronzes (also horse) on sale and I fell in love with that in there but bronzes are extremely expensive. So I bought that cute penguin directly from Marina.  After that I kept close eye on her. When I saw her posting on Instagram a picture of her three ceramic horses of 2024. I could not resist. This horse is the most expensive ceramic I ever bought but I thought that it was worth it. I think Marina has achieved  https://thebluehorsegallery.com/about/  certain finess with her horses. The posture, the head and ceramic glazes all together create this look that make you feel that this piece is something special. At least I feel 😊 In addition I enjoyed my interaction with her. This horse is "My precious!" 😅

  Olympe des Gouges sculpture by Sabine Hoffman (1926-2016) I saw this sculpture as a "buy it now" on Ebay. And straight away I had a feeling or "reflex" to buy. Drew Pritchard has said, person purchases "the right thing" in a second. For some reason I am drawn to those printouts of old photos in this case print of a engraving I think. I didnt even know who is represented. When I started to dig deeper I started to like it more and more by every minute. Sabine Hoffman 1926-2016 Until now I never heard of her before. No surprise...one can not know all contemporary artists and she was living in Germany. But there is her website that is in german but if you open with google browser you can translate the webpage.  Irish towns are mostly very charming. Clonmel is one of them. I've been there multiple times, recently because there five charity shops. You are bound to find at least something and yes, I never returned empty handed. So, here is one Saturday's charity shop haul. Camembert plate Porcelain plate by BIA - there is actually a set of 4 cheese plates. Unfortunately I only found one but I love the graphics and I will use it for eating all sorts...not only cheese. Necklace Wow, that necklace is something else. It is a definite eye catcher but at the same time it is not too over the top and that's why love it.  Pottery vase   I like its roughness. It has a seal kind of incised mark of an apple (or heart )and unreadable text on the edges. But Google Lens helped me out and I found that it is by PotSmiths Pottery that is in Co.Donegal at Ray Cottage. Sadly, I cant find more info about the main potter there or their story but from what I see on Google Images, they have very interes...

 Naiva Bratislava was held this year from 03rd of June to 22nd of June in PRIMACIALNY PALAC that you can see on the photo. Very grand building indeed. I was lucky enough to participate in this exhibition with two of my paintings and I went there for opening ceremony. It was half an hour ceremony where traditional Slovak songs were sang. Very lovely. My two paintings are on the below left corner. "Armadillo" and "Dawn and Dusk" If I remember correctly dog paintings are by Slovak artist, and rest of the paintings in this photo are Finnish artists. I think it is now already 5th year that this exhibition takes place. Artist are participating from all over the world, incl Africa continent. The main event of this trip for me was of course above exhibition vernissage but I also explored around Bratislava and among other things visiting different art galleries. So, great discovery for me this time in Bratislava was Magis Art Gallery. It is located a 15min drive out of town ...

  Etsy. I think it is many art lovers shopping location. I really like to purchase directly from artist because I know that every sell makes a difference and lifts artist spirit. I myself sell there my art. For a while I had this sculpture on my favorites list. As you can see I bought it. It is titled " Hieronymus II " and I liked it from the first moment I saw it. It seem to me that the Kids series that Iwo sells on Etsy are more popular and don't get me wrong I love them as well. But this one I liked more. What appeals to me is mix of modern shop mannequin, Greek and Roman characters. Little bit futurism mixed in as well. And as picture show...I am pottery mad! I enjoy my Hieronymus very much indeed.  Houston Llew from charity shop Couple of weeks ago I went treasure hunting to charity shops on weekend as I often do. On the table there I noticed a book shaped object with attractive Tango dancers. I lifted it, it felt heavy and looking at it it seemed like decorative peace. It had nice quotes on each side. When looking it backside it said "glass on copper" among other information. Yes, please! As I love anything craft or art related I grabbed it fast. At home I had a closer look and Googled. I love when this happens...that the art world unfolds for you with something new that you did not know existed before.
