  Its been while since I posted - does not mean I haven't thrifted. I have. But today I felt like making a post again as I am thrilled with my haul. When I saw this dress, I was drawn to it because of green color ( in my Green period currently 😆). Next it felt so good to touch. 100% Cotton. Brand new, never warn. Happy days to find this dress for fraction of their retail price. Bright red cube ring . No idea who retails it but I really like geometric form jewelry.   Its been a while since I blogged my thrifting finds. It  does not  mean that I have not been doing it. Oh, I have and have found good stuff too. Its just I recently started working at new company and that work and learning new skills and ropes of the job has me squeezed empty and abandon the blogging for a while. I am feeling it today to make a blog post as all the staff was at hand to take a photos of some of my finds. What a fantastic necklace this is. Its most likely costume but in fabulous modernist style that I love. Brass tone and tiger eye faux stones. At home I made a Google lens search and found a earring and necklace set was sold at Ebay for 70 USD or so. I dont have earrings. But love the necklace when I only paid 6 EUR for it.  Seller describes it as VTG Brass Artisan Modernist Faux Tiger's eye necklace. I wonder who produced these? This is yet to be discovered.   I had "guns blazing"  fun with thrifting last week.  This Tommy Hilfiger pouch bag fits under arm perfectly and is brand new. Does not seem to be never warn. I can see how this design is influenced by Louis Vuitton. Textile with initials but then having Hilfigers iconic blue and red stripe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Hilfiger   These are two costume jewelry pieces that I picked up. The earrings are interesting to me because these are like very thin mesh tubes that have tiny crystals in them. The ring is no doubt a statement piece. I think its the largest ring I ever had. This Banksy's street art depiction was fun find. What makes it extra interesting is that it is print on the glass not paper. In my opinion it brings it to high quality level. The frame works so well too with it.   Here is a wonderful art glass bead necklace that i found. Super artsy and BOHO looking. I love it. Underneath it is linen tablecloth...that I also have found in the past by - yes, you guessed it, thrifting! 😌 This is so charming watercolor Nasturtiums by Valerie A Lane. But I tried to find something about her and could not. Maybe she has changed last name (by marrying). It is original and very skillfully drawn. This picture whispers to my soul ever so quietly. In one my earlier blog post I told that I have discovered Publisher Rizzoli. So, here is a second book that I found by that publisher called " One Mans Folly: The Exceptional Houses of Furlow Gatewood " . It is about our living environment and designing it.   First thing I noticed on the bag rack was color. This is such a beautiful green and then I looked at the condition and quality of the bag. All the metal hardware is flawless, the handles hardware rings have Charlotte Reid London engraved to them, all zippers are functioning and textile inside is flawless. This bag looks brand new to me.   Here are items that I have found thrifting in January. All from different charity shops on random days I have popped in there. Last post in this blog I said that I am going to thrift in Italy. Yes, I was in Italy and what amazing trip it was. One of my dream came true by visiting Pompeii and Herculaneum ancient towns, also different museums, exhibitions etc. From thrifting front I only found one charity shop were I popped in. I bought three necklaces from there what you see on photo, all chosen because I like glass bead necklaces and all these have aurora borealis coating that makes them sparkle. Bling-bling! I did look up few other thrift shops in Napoli from Google maps but they turned out to be too out of my trajectory. Oh well...you cant do it all.   Last week picks are from different charity shops.  Last week only home deco item was this glass vase. I love its design...two glass tiles with delicate iris picture infused. It has tube like vase in the middle so it would fit only 1 to 2 flowers. But I like it, its dainty and gives me Japanese vibe. It does have artist initial on the right below corner. I Think its A and E. Is this fused glass art ? Steven Hawking and Leonard Mlodinow " The Grand Design". I have not read it, I have only heard quotes from it and about this book.   I spent last weekend in Co.Waterford and it turned out visiting more art galleries than charity shops. But I did pop in few and here is a haul. I did purchased some items from art glleries but I will share my art collection on separate posts. Green enamel pendant necklace. I like abstract jewelry. This one is large and in lovely muted green color having some patches of lighter green color and decorative rhinestones. It reminds me the waterlily leaf. White stones being water drops? Maybe. The chain necklace has good long length. Laquered hand painted wood or paper machet bangle.  I have a small collection of these and when ever I see one I pick them up. They give good nice boho impact when wearing them with any outfit and they are very decorative when stacked up on dressing table or anywhere really. They usually are eather Indian or Russian origin.
